Another HYCCT

The last few weeks I have been participating in the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges, a card drive benefitting MD Anderson Cancer Center. I have had so much fun making the cards. I just mailed my last box of cards today. But I think I will keep working on some more for them. Here are a few of the cards I made for the drive.

Here I am again

There has been so much time pass since I last posted to this blog, I almost feel like I should just scrap the whole thing and start over. But the truth about my life is that I don't have much time to keep up with things that I enjoy. So I will just start again right here and try to post at least once a week -(Have I said that before? -LOL).

Challenging Challenges

I have made a few cards the last few days for the Weekly Inkling Challenges and they have been very challenging for me. Nothing seems to translate onto paper exactly as I see it in my head. But I'm trying. Some I sort of like and others I don't like too much. Here are a few of the latest tries.

This card was for the Technique Lovers Challenge #290

This card is for the Clean & Simple #84

This one is for the Free 4 All #34

Mixed Felines

I got to make one card tonight for the Teapot Tuesday challenge. I don't know why my darn job takes up all my days.
The card is for Bertie who is moving from Texas to CA. Her two kitties have mixed felines about moving. They will take a little piece of TX with them eventhough they are ready for new adventures.

Talented Card Club Ladies

These are the projects of the other ladies in my card club. I just love the Candy Corn tin.

Liz made all of us a test tube and Rhaonda made these little boxes that are a cat. There is a decent sized box for goodies hiding behind his body.

And again, Carolyn came up with a very cute and roomy box for goodies. I love the little metal clip to open and close the box with.

The reason I've been away

We took our Oldest Daughter and family to Sea World in San Antonio

We had a great time at all the shows and really enjoyed our day. Eventhough Lucy is only 2 and a half she did really well with keeping up all day. She was so thrilled to see all the animals. But she admits she was a little afraid of feeding the dolphins. She would only throw the fish in the water for them, not put it in their mouth. Her favorite thing was "when the Otter took the man's hat".

October Card club was last week. This is the eyeball(cakeball) I made for my project. There are several other cute, cute projects. I'll post those as well. My eyeball took so long to make that I sort of ran out of time in making the box and things to put it in. I had envisioned more than this, but it turned out OK. I put the trim around the top of the box all the way around on all the others. This was the first draft. I cut the box on the Cricut at 5-1/2" (cupcake box on Sweet Treats) and made the clear lid for it with an acrylic sheet.

This is a card I made for my hubby for his birthday. The coloring looks a lot better in person. The picture has made it look very dark and streaky.

Well I tried to get a new template for my blog, but no success. It was all supposed to be easy, but it didn't work. So back to the drawing board.
And as for the squirrels, They did finally eat the corn. I'm afraid maybe something else liked it as well. We have had two new holes being dug in the yard. One under the hedge, where something had dug before and one under the fence. So it looks like it's time to set the trap again. I think it may be an Armadillo.

Going up to make a card now so maybe I'll post it later.
